Weingut Hiden
Present in the independent West Styrian wine-producing region, Weingut Hiden, is owned and operated by Franz Hiden and his wife Maria, and their two sons, Peter and Stephan. The winery origin dates back to 1820 and was named after Johann Hoeller, founder of the winery. In 1986 Franz passed the master’s exam for winemaking and cellar masterwork. The quality of his wine grew, as did the demand for his wines. The vineyards at Weingut Hiden are some of the oldest in the region and is located at an elevation of 400 meters, quality winemaking continues to be their priority. The climate, rainfall, temperature, and soil are perfect in the region for the cultivation of vines. The main varieties are Blauer Wildbacher, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Gelber Muscateller, Pinot Grigio, Riesling, Pinot Blanc, and Welschriesling.

Intensely grassy, with paprika and nettle notes and lots of mineral notes. On the palate with a crisp, green structure. Fine acidity and green peppers to the final.
