DEUX NEZ RED WINE DRY

2016

PRODUCER: Bassermann Jordan ALCOHOL: 13.5%
COD: Germany ACIDITY: 6 g/l
REGION: Ruppertsberg and Deidesheim and Forst RESIDUAL: 3.1 g/l
VOLUME: 750ml

DESCRIPTION

Selective hand picking, open mash fermentation. The wines were separated. Both grape varieties were aged in French oak barrels and stored for 18 months until their marriage in the same. The vintage 2016 brought healthy, perfectly matured grapes with elegant acidity. That is why this vintage of Deuz Nez is a wine that, with a certain storage, is particularly enjoyable. A full-bodied and strong wine with a fruity, substance-like nature – which comes with a wealth of flavoring spice components therefore. Delicate nuances of cassis and red forest berries, coffee and toasting notes and a hint of vanilla make this wine seductive. Ideal with rich meat dishes, such as beef.

COD: Germany ACIDITY: 5.9 g/l

VOLUME: 750ml

DESCRIPTION

Only the best barrels of the vintage was selected for this large and very dense wine. The result is a full-bodied Spätburgunder that, with its intense colour and full style, is more reminiscent of counterparts from France than to a German Spätburgunder. Powerful is the aroma, backed by softwood notes and is intensively complemented by a bouquet of red berry fruits (raspberry). Fine spicy notes on the palate emphasize the fineness of this wine. In the finish, there are delicate nuances of the typical for Pinot Noir bitter almond aroma.
