Escher Weingut

The Escher family discovered their enthusiasm for wine as early as the 1960s. With 900 vines in the basket, Meta and Otto Escher laid the foundation for the family business’s current success. In the following decades the area under vines was expanded slightly. After Lisa and Ottmar Escher Escher got married in 1990 , the area was was expanded to include other top locations in the Remstal,  and the company structure was converted to bottle wine marketing.

For the Escher’s wine is tradition and a modern cultural asset that deserves the highest level of craftsmanship – the wine that they want to pass on should bring joy and enjoyment , bringing people together. Today on 12 hectares the Escher family produce some of the best wines in Wuerttemberg , the white varieties are, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc and Riesling , the reds are , Lemberger, Zweigelt, Trollinger and Pinot Noir.

Our Weissburgunder is multifaceted Keupersoil grew on the mountain. Selected by hand and matured in stainless steel on the fine lees after the harvest, it is elegant and balanced

Trollinger

The deep-rooted vines on plaster keuper soil on the mountain have been managed by our family for generations.
The reduction in yield and hand selection make this Trollinger something special. After the late harvest, the whole berries are traditionally fermented on the mash.
