Radevic Estate Winery

One of the world’s oldest viticulture regions, wine production in Montenegro can be traced back to the Third Crusade in the late  12 th Century. Beginning with the Ancient Greeks, wine cultivation continued throughout the Roman Empire into the Middle Ages.

Religious fervor restricted wine production for the next few centuries with the rise of the Ottoman Empire, but then slowly reorganized after its collapse in the late 1800’s.

Surviving Kings and Dictators and later communist regimes of the Balkan States , today Radevic Estate is single-handedly championing the Renaissance of Montenegro’s wine community.

Radevic Estate Winery is located just miles from the Adriatic Sea , in the town of Rogami sitting above the Zeta River. Having its roots in tradition , Radevic Estate is linked to Duklija , the old Roman city ruins , located just 5 minutes away from the vineyard.

South-facing at an altitude of 200 feet , the unique geography , ideal microclimate, and diverse soils provide a perfect environment for producing world-class wines.

At the crossroads of tradition and modern –day wine practices , Radevic Estate continue to honor the work of the generations who came before them, laying the path for their family to create wines that grow in harmony with the land. In the vineyard , they restrict fruit growth to one cluster per vine, a costly approach , but one this is necessary to allow for maximum flavour potential.

The hand – picked fruit is then rushed to the winery where meticulous de-stemming of individual bunches , takes place prior to fermentation.

The winery is owned by Dr. Goran Radevic and his wife Renee.
