The brothers Francesco and Chiara Romano have chosen with affection and courage to remain in their Irpinia and to share the belonging that the parents have for this land by inserting themselves into the family agricultural reality. The winery was founded in 2006 by the will of the parents Franco and Florenza and it is the only winery in San Mango Sul Colore , a town included in the DOCG Taurasi area. Completely devasted by the 1980 earthquake and admirably rebuilt. In the name Antico Castello, the memory of a feudal construction before the earthquake. They make wine only using their own grapes from 10 hectares of vineyards in San Mango Sul Colore , which sits at an altitude of 450 m above sea level and its not far from the Valley the Colore River runs through it. Aside from the red Aglianico , they also cultivate the white varieties Fiano, Greco and Falanghina and all according to organic methods. Their wines are territoria not at all standardized , full of personality and need to age to full express their characteristic. This is especially true of the Taurasis and Greco wines.

COD: Italy |
VARIETAL: 100% Aglianico |
PRODUCER: Antico Castello Winery |
With an intense ruby red color, it has an important aromatic, warm and captivating decision, which shows itself with a good dose of elegance, releasing fruity and spicy perceptions of good composure, with some balsamic and toasted impressions. Setting of austerity and severity to the taste, further strengthened by an adequate dose of freshness; the alcoholic embrace does its part to keep its hardness at bay. Aromatic extension that becomes more terragna, with flavors of humus and bark, in the long persistence.

Rich in color, intense straw yellow and almost gold, it shows an impetuous nose and elegant outbursts of gardenia, sage, golden apple, and talc. Captivating taste due to the arrogance of the body supported by a fresh vein. It fades in persistence on tight sapid and almond tones.
