Marchesato Degli Aleramicci

The winery Marcheasto Degli Aleramici  with over 1000 years of history , established in 1986, near Siena , in Montalcino town was founded by the Fedriani family. The activity began in the early 80 s in the IL Galampio farm from the love for these places and Inimitable wines of the engineer Giacomo Fedriani. He gave the impression of the Fedriani family by outlining the cornerstones on which to base the production and image philosophy “ Tradition, Elegance, Absolute Quality “. The ancient farm IL Galampio  is located on a gentle slope that descends from the state forest  down towards the Ombrone river. The east and west facing vineyards and olive groves are close to the old farm. Approximately 47 hectares in all , 14 hectares are planted with vines.

The Sienese district , to which Montalcino belongs , is one of the oldest wine-growing region in the world. In this context , it is produced the Brunello di Montalcino and Rosso di Montalcino. The production of this famous wine is limited to the municipality of Montalcino. The grape variety is Sangiovese Grosso. 9 hectares of Brunello are grown in the Estate IL Galampio . A long time ago , even before these illustrious wine were produced , the IL Galampio farm , made a very special red wine from the same vine as the nowadays Brunello, their Galampia Rosso.  Today the winery is owned by Filippo Fedriani and his wife Emma and the carry on the company philosophy.

This wine goes especially well for every day consumption and it is suitable to be taste between meals. It’s really ideal with the most of meat for important first course, matured or semimatured cheeses. We advice you to open the bottle one hour before serving and to drink it at a temperature of between 18°-20° C.

Rosso di Montalcino

This wine goes especially well for every day consumption with elegance and simplicity. It’s really ideal with the most of gravy for important first course, charcoal grilled meat and fresh cheeses such as Tuscan sheep cheese (pecorino etc.). We advice you to open the bottle one hour before serving and to drink it at a temperature of between 18-20° C.

Riserva Brunello di Montalcino

This wine goes especially well with red meats, roast game, charcoal grilled meats and strong cheeses such as Parmesan, Tuscan sheep cheese (pecorino etc). It also gets well with many international dishes such as Rehrucken (back of roebuck), roast goose, T-bone steak, roast leg of lamb, caneton à la presse (duck). We advice you to open the bottle several hours before serving and to drink it at a temperature of between 18-20° C.

Brunello di Montalcino
