Tenute Chiaromonte

The Tenute Chiaromonte winery was founded in 1828 , with just 3 hectares of agricultural land , and its still family owned . Nicola Chiaromonte has been running the family business in the third generation since 1998.

The agricultural technician attaches  particular importance to a spirit of innovation and a love of the environment on 42 hectares in Apulia’s top Primitivo locations near Acquaviva delle Fonti, olive groves and cherry plantations are cultivated in addition to the vineyards . The annual production is approx. 100.000 bottles. Today Nicola Chiaromonte is one of the best Primitivo Producer in the world.

A Primitivo expression of his land, of which he tells stories and legends. Bright red color with violet reflections and intense aromas of small red fruits. On the palate it is fresh, savory and rightly tannic, with a soft and fruity finish.

Intense red wine, with aromas of plum, small black fruits and spices that surround a strong and clear fruit.
Mouth of impact, volume without sagging, acidity that well balances the typical sweetness of the grape. Pleasant finish, with notes of chocolate and licorice.

It finds its best combination with cheeses, roasts and all the dishes of Mediterranean cuisine.

A niche edition that comes from a small vineyard of ancient saplings. The color is deep red. The aromas are those of plum jam and bitter chocolate that barely covers the smoky notes. There is no lack of typical hints of the Mediterranean scrub. On the palate it is cherry, deep and intense, with very soft tannins and the lightness of those sixteen degrees of chocolate and freshness.

Ideal with meat sauce, roasts and aged cheeses.

White wine with yellow, greenish tones. It is characterized by the floral aromaticity of the vine with hints of orange blossom and wildflowers and with notes of citrus, exotic reflections and wild herbs.

On tasting, it begins with spiritual richness, fresh acidity and highlights a return of citrus aromas with a pleasantly mineral finish
