Seifried Estate Winery is a family owned winery and vineyard base in Nelson ,
New Zealand. The winery was founded by Hermann Seifried and his wife Agnes in 1973 as a part time business, and is now the South Island’s oldest commercial vineyard. Seifried Estate Winery farms over 325 hectares of vines around the Nelson and Marlborough region. The Seifrieds have 3 children and they are all involved in the family business : Chris the brother took over the part of the winemaking and production , Heidi the oldest sister helps Chris as the assistant Winemaker and Anne takes care of the marketing and export.
White grape varieties are : Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Gruener Veltliner, Gewuerztraminer.
Red grape varieties are : Pinot Noir, Zweigelt, Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Merlot.

The 2022 Old Coach Road Nelson Sauvignon Blanc is packed with varietal flavours and intensity. The nose delivers vibrant passionfruit and snow pea aromas while the palate is mouthfi lling and packed with basil, citrus and hints of lemongrass. The palate is long, generous and tasty.

The 2023 Seifried Nelson Sauvignon Blanc is from our Brightwater vineyard. The fruit was pure, clean and concentrated at harvest. Basil leaf, snow peas and passionfruit characters to taste. The wine is energetic with bright acidity defining the flavoursome palate and leaving a long tasty finish.

The 2022 Seifried Nelson Pinot Noir is varietal on the nose with cinnamon stick, cedar and raspberry characters. The palate is smooth, supple and gentle with restrained berry fruits and gentle savoury oak spice notes, leaving a long generous finish on the palate.
