The wine opens with fresh Yuzu, orange marmalade and lemongrass. With only partial malolactic fermentation, the wine retains crisp freshness while promoting a creamy mid-palate.

DESCRIPTION
Perhaps one of the cooler areas to grow Sauvignon Blanc, the 2018 Estate Sauvignon Blanc shows classic characteristics of the variety and is sure to be a showstopper. Early opening of the vine canopy allowed for increased dappled sunlight on the fruit allowing for increased flavor development, yet with the cooler vintage, the wine maintains modest alcohol. Comprised of two clones of Sauvignon blanc including a musqu selection, the nose pops with orange blossom, apricot, ruby-red grapefruit, and key lime. With the inclusion of barrel fermentation in 2018, a textural presence is felt on the palate with complimenting chamomile spice that leads to a long, refreshing finish. The wine is wonderfully friendly in its youth, however noticeable complexity both aromatically and on the palate suggest this wine will be a cellar-worthy addition to your collection.

DESCRIPTION
The 2019 Pinot Blanc is comprised of three different blocks grown on our Estate Vineyard – Each block planted to a different clone. The fruit matured slowly on south-facing slopes, enjoying the cool foggy mornings and breezing summer afternoons. Beautiful notes of fresh pear and nectarine with extended skin contact during pressing has intensified the floral components of this vintage with honey-suckle and apple blossom.
Building on the success of fermenting the Pinot Blanc in barrel, 2019 was fermented 85% in barrel and 15% in stainless steel. The increase in barrel fermentation promotes a velvety texture that complements the natural acidity on the palate while also supporting secondary aromatics of freshly baked bread and chamomile spice. At a modest 12.9% alcohol, the 2019 Estate Pinot Blanc is elegantly structured and immensely desirable. This wine will not only be delicious young but will gain in complexity with age.

This early-ripening site lends itself to beautiful, fully ripe fruit even in cooler years. Perched on an elevated bench, the vineyard benefits from optimal drainage, perfect for the rains of 2017.
Floral notes of violets and roses form a delicate bouquet to delight the senses. Layers of dried fruit, tobacco and slate create mid-palate texture while the unique hint of eucalyptus, made by the neighboring grove, creates a distinct finish.
